Wooden Rings

Laminated Plywood Rings.

Assembly of rings that progress from wearable
to non-wearble as the holes become gradually smaller.
Reminiscent of a landscape of small houses.

The wood  is intentionally left raw
to emphasize layer, texture, and variety.

Exotic Wood with Natural Stone

Experimentation with topographical landscape
as a means of displaying non-functional
jewelry.

Steaming from the idea of materials being found
and unearthed through obtrusive means, I wanted
these rings to resemble either layers of earth
or an explosion from a contained source.

Materials: Purple Heart and Zebra Wood
fossilized wood, tangerine quartz, septarian nodules, garnet

Rings are all cut and shaped using band saw, drill press, and sanding machines

Topographic board- hand cut and glued using black-matte board,
spray glue, and jeweler's saw

Laser Cut Plywood Bracelets

First modeled in Rhino 3D modeling program, exported
to laser cutter at the Warehouse Co-Lab, hand
finished with precise angles and assembled with glue.

Red String and Porcelain Necklace

Porcelain pendants hand carved hanging from silver chain hand woven with red thread.

Porcelain was my research material in an experimental materials class for jewelry.

Discovered the benefits of porcelain- light in weight, clean aesthetic, musical quality when it moves.
